Initial Eligibility:
To establish initial eligibility for Culinary insurance you must achieve 336 hours in a 3 month period with a employer that contributes to Culinary. Once you have received the 336 hours in a 3 month period your insurance will start after another 1 month lag period. Maintaining Eligibility:
To keep your benefits and not have to self-pay you must have at least 224 hours of contributions in each 2-month work period for each 2 month eligibility period.  Click here to see a chart that matches the work periods with the eligibility periods. If you do not have 224 reported work hours for a 2-month work period, you can self-pay for any hours you are "short". You must have worked at least 224 hours in the last calendar year to continue to make self-payments the next year.
